A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is the founder acharya of the hare krishna movement. Completed in 1998, this is a complex of temples. The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) was initially raised as a spiritual society in New York to Propagate the message of the Bhagwad Gita. It was founded by Swami Prabhupada. In India there's about 40 ISKCON temples. Contemplating the traditions of the ancient Vaishnava tradition, its philosophy & practice, these spiritual temples have left a mark on all mankind. About the Puja –Archana of Kashi Vishwanath Temple:


The pilgrims visit the temple any time of the day and worship the Lord by offering flowers and bilva leaves and chanting mantras of Shiva. Daily five times the Aarati is performed. The evening Aarati is known as Shringar Aarati. During this Aarati the linga is decorated with variety of flowers. The temple is kept open from 5.30 in the morning and stays so till 12 in the noon. The temple usually remains closed during the noon hours, and reopens in the evening at 4 p.m. The temple closes in the night after the last pujas are performed by 8p.m. The Temple closes at 11p.m. Most of the prasad,milk,clothes and other such offerings are given to the poors.

The History Of  Kashi Vishwanath Temple

Vishvanath temple was, however, destroyed by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, who built the mosque Gaynvapi using columns of original temple razed by Aurangzeb. Even today the western wall of the mosque minarets series of 71 feet above the Ganges of a temple which had very complex art and fine. Both the Kashi Vishwanath and Gyanvapi mosque are adjacent to each other. Here gravitate the teeming millions of India to seek benediction and spiritual peace by the darshan of this Jyotirlinga which confers liberation from the shackles of the Maya and the inexorable entanglements of the world. A simple view of the Jyotirlinga is a soul cleansing experience that transforms life and puts it into the path of knowledge and bhakti. Vishweshwara Jyotirlinga has a very special and unique significance in the spiritual history of India. Tradition says that the merit earned by the darshan of jyotirlinga others scattered in various parts of India accrue to devotee by a single visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Deeply and intimately implanted in the Hindu mind, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple has been a life embodinent of our cultural traditions and eternal values higher spirit. The temple has been visited by all great saints-Adi Shankaracharya, Ramkrishna Paramhansa, Swami Vivekananda, Goswami Tulsidas, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, Gurunanak and various spiritual personalities. Kashi Vishwanath Temple attracts visitors not only from India but also abroad and therefore symbolizes man's desire to live in peace SND harmony with one another. Vishwanath being a supreme repository of this spiritual truth thus strengthens the bonds of universal brotherhood and fellow feeling at the national and global WLL.
On 28 January 1983, the temple was taken by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh and is Eversince is managed by a Trust with Dr. Vibhuti Narayan Singh. Former Kashi Naresh, as president and an Executive Committee with Divisional Commissioner as chairman. The temple in its present form was built back in 1780 by Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar last Indore.In year of 1785, a Naubatkhan front of the temple was built by the collector then Mohd. Ibrahim Khan in the case of Governor General Warren Hastings. Two domes of the temple were covered by 800 kg of gold plating on the towers, donated by Punjab Kesari Maharaja Ranjeet Singhsome 50 years later. Thirdly, the dome but was remained uncovered, Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs of the UP Govt. had a great interest for gold plating of the third part of the dome of the Temple. The five Aaratis Mahadev is famous. At this time, Shiva is decorated with leaves of shade under huge COBRA. Thousands of people come at this time to visit the Vishwanath decorated. Kashi Vishwanath Shiva Lingam at the Golden Temple, which has seen many of its destruction is the mysterious symbol of the cosmos, which attracts many thousands of Hindus to offer Ganges-water per day. It is the belief of the people of Varanasi's Vishwanath Baba is responsible for the happiness and sadness of life of the people of Varanasi.

 

Jaya Ganga, Jaya Vishwanath, Om Namah Shivaya. The entire area echoes with these chantings. The Gods in Varanasi are described in Sanskrit in the following way:

According to some scholars, Krishna was born Wednesday, the eighth day of second fortnight in Sravana month in the year Visvavasu around 3227 BC, also known as Dwapur Yug. July 19th 3228 BC to be exact. He lived for 125 years and disappeared on 18 February 3102 a. C. in the new moon night Phalguna. His death was the beginning of the current age of corruption known as Kaliyuga.
